All I can say is there is nothing "perceived" about any of the blunders that have been made in Iraq.  They are real and readily apparent to anyone whose paid attention the last few years.  These blunders have had real consequence and real people are dying as a result.  Furthermore, real people understand that and no longer trust the people in the White House who are pushing for escalation.
