I think Joe over at Americablog is on to something by looking at the ironic nature of the Administration's defense of the port deal.  Their latest line is that not letting the deal go through or engaging in some sort of double-standard would be utterly disasterous for our reputation and foreign policy goals in the Middle East but watching Iraq, an Arab country at the geographical center of the Middle East, invaded by the United States three years ago, descending into civil war.....ahhhhh, evidently not so much?  I should have probably titled this post: There's Predictions that come true and predictions that come true!
